Physical Education supports you in acquiring skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate movement activities. You will gain experience within various physical activities assisting you in further understanding health and wellness benefits, promoting positive interactions and leading an active lifestyle.
Our goal in Physical Education is to have our students actively involved in a variety of activities that will promote their overall health and wellness.
Attire
Elementary Students (Grades 4– 6) are required to have shoes at school to wear for P.E. Bare, stocking feet, sandals, and boots are not permitted. Junior High Students (Grades 7 – 9) are required to wear clothes appropriate for physical activity.
Comfort, safety and hygiene are the primary considerations when choosing clothes for P.E.
Running shoes with non-marking soles with laces tied are required. For safety, loosely tied skater shoes, puma-style shoes, sandals, flats (Toms-style shoes), or heels may not be permitted.
Students with earrings or piercings may be asked to remove or tape them to prevent injury.
Students who wear clothes inappropriate for physical activity may be asked to change into clean loaner outfits.
Injury or Illness
Students will be excused from P.E. if they have a note from parent or guardian.
An alternate assignment(s) will be required.
