Saying Hello to Spring Break Adventures and a Warm Welcome Back!
As we bid adieu to the last school day before spring break, March 21 marks the beginning of a well-deserved rest for our Sherwood students. With eager anticipation, they embark on adventures, recharge their spirits, and relish in the joys of the season. We look forward to welcoming them back to school on April 2, ready to dive back into learning and growth.
Additionally, we're thrilled to announce the return of Mrs. Michelle Moss after the break, as we bid a fond farewell to Mrs. Katrina Thompson. Mrs. Thompson will be pursuing her future endeavors within the CBE schools, so there's always a possibility we may see her return someday. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for her dedication to Sherwood School. We are eagerly anticipating welcoming Mrs. Moss back after her month-long absence and look forward to her continued contributions to our school community.
Sherwood Feel Good News
Sherwood Cleans Up
This week, Sherwood students came together for a community clean-up on our school grounds, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship. Armed with gloves and garbage bags, our students diligently collected litter and debris, making our school environment cleaner and safer for everyone. In addition to their efforts in tidying up, they also made some remarkable discoveries, including several lost student items that were reunited with their owners. We commend our students for their dedication to keeping Sherwood School clean and welcoming for all!
Spirit Week Success
Sherwood's Spirit Week was an absolute blast, with students and staff alike showcasing their school pride in style! Tuesday's highlight was seeing several staff members ingeniously disguised as students, fooling everyone with their youthful energy and enthusiasm. Despite a surprise snowfall on Formal Day, students and staff still looked dashing in their formal attire, proving that nothing can dampen our Sherwood spirit. And on the last day before spring break, cozy pajamas were the perfect choice, providing a warm and snug send-off as Calgary continued to embrace the snowy weather. It was a week filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun, truly embodying the spirit of Sherwood!
AHS Mental Health Presentation
Sherwood students were privileged to hear from Taylor Poulter, AHS's Mental Health Ambassador, during our recent Mental Health Presentation on Thursday, March 21. With compassion and insight, Taylor addressed crucial topics such as mental health awareness and strategies to combat bullying in schools. It was an enlightening and empowering experience for all, fostering a supportive environment where students can thrive.
