Sherwood Feel Good News
Monsters vs. Heroes Art Gallery
Mrs. Tanner's 4/5 class recently engaged in an exciting Monsters vs Heroes project, showcased at the @auarts_gallery_crawl March 8! Each student crafted either a monster or hero, which were then brought to life by junior high, high school, and university students. It was an extraordinary experience to be part of, sparking creativity and collaboration across different age groups.
Student Clubs – Crochet
Our student clubs are buzzing with activity this semester! In our crocheting club, students are learning the art of crochet under the guidance of a very special volunteer, Mrs. Munroe, the mother of our beloved Principal. With her expertise and patience, students are mastering new stitches and creating beautiful handmade pieces. It's a wonderful opportunity for creativity and relaxation, and we're grateful for Mrs. Munroe's dedication to our students' enrichment.
Student Clubs – Math Club
In our math club, students are diving into the world of problem-solving and critical thinking. From tackling complex equations to deciphering challenging word problems, our math enthusiasts are sharpening their skills and embracing the joys of mathematical exploration. It's inspiring to see our students' passion for learning in action, and we can't wait to see what they'll achieve next!
Arts Common – Fear of the Unknown
During the past week, Arts Commons had the pleasure of collaborating with Sherwood's Grade 8 class on an exciting project. Together, we embarked on creating a group trailer, with students receiving prompts each day and venturing out to film. On the final day, we brought all our footage together and edited this short trailer as a team. We're thrilled to share the final product with you!
