School Supplies

For the 2023-2024 school year, school supplies are provided for Grade 4,5,6 students as there is a system fee that will be applied to all Grade 4,5,6 students. Grade 7,8,9 students are responsible to bring their own supplies to school. This includes but is not limited to:

• Calculator (scientific for Grades 7-9)
• glue stick
• erasers
• pens (blue/black, red)
• scissors
• pencils
• lined paper
• pencil crayons
• pencil sharpener
• pencil box or case
• dividers
• binder(s)
• 200 page coil notebook

Subscribe to School Messages

Most school messages are sent to parents through SchoolMessenger. It’s a mass communication tool that allows schools to easily and securely send email, phone and text messages to parents / guardians, independent students in a particular grade, class, school or area. Messages are sent to the parent contacts on file at your school.​​

To ensure you receive important information from your child’s school and the Calgary Board of Education, subscribe to school messages.​

Action Required | Complete Online Forms

Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents / legal guardians are required to complete or review and update, some of which are paper and others online. In CBE, the forms in an online format (SchoolEngage) are:

• Demographic Verification – This form includes your child’s personal information as well as parent / legal guardian contact information.
• Citizenship Information Update – This form becomes available if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form.
• Annual Authorization – This form provides consent for school and district use of personal information.

SchoolEngage is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. This is the same account that you use to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences, etc.
If you do not have a MyCBE account, on the MyCBE page click on Create a MyCBE Account. For online help refer, to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video).

To complete these forms:

1 | sign in to your MyCBE account
2 | click on the SchoolEngage icon
3 | select the form
4 | complete or review and update the form
5 | click on Submit to send the form electronically to the school
6 | repeat steps 3-5 for each form

Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child by Friday, September 16.
