School Bus Transportation | Apply by June 16

Families can now register for school bus service for the 2024-2025 school year. Service levels and proposed fees will remain the same as the current school year.

Registration is available using your  MyCBE account. If you do not already have an account, learn how to create one. Families must register by Sunday, June 16  for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.

We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Due to volume, processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year.

Note: Conditional ridership forms will be available after registration closes.

Sherwood – Feel Good News

Spring Showcase

We extend a warm thank you to everyone who joined us at the Spring Showcase last night. It was a fantastic event where all of our enrichment areas were on display, and we were delighted to celebrate the achievements of Archer students and staff. Our teachers were very proud to showcase their students' learning for such an appreciative crowd. Thank you to all who helped make it a success!

Volunteer Tea

Today our students put together an appreciation tea to celebrate our dedicated Archer volunteers, the toast below is shared to thank those who can't attend.

Hello, Friends of Sherwood!

Good afternoon to all of you amazing folks who make our school shine.

The schools of this country exist for you. This is not idealistic nonsense, this is the absolute truth - you own this school.  It's through your support that our school has become what it is today. We appreciate you: volunteering, studying support, financial contributions, time, service and your attendance and cooperation at school events. Moments like these, such as our recent fine arts show, field trip, or soccer game, showcase the impact of your support.  It’s in moments like this that you choose the direction of your school.

Now, in a moment we’ll have a tea toast to celebrate your volunteer efforts, but before we do, a show of hands - who here has volunteered more than one role, who also has a day job commitment, and who here has recruited someone else to volunteer as well? Our students thank you - deeply - more than they know - because How do you really count the time spent memorizing lines with an actor in the school play, opening up a character in a child that might otherwise have been silent? And what about driving students to team games and practices, and watching them grow into proud athletes? In the past few weeks, many teachers have approached me to express how volunteers have made a big difference this year. They wanted to ensure that each and every one of you is recognized. A special thank you to those who are also members of the School Council, and a very special thank you to all those who volunteered for the casino; this has made such a huge difference in the meaningful learning experiences our students have been able to access this year. It’s altruistic work but it doesn’t need to be a thankless job.

And so to you - to all of you we thank you, your impact on the school is tremendous. Thank you for giving your time so unselfishly to make this school successful. Your willingness to help and volunteer is a significant choice that we truly value.

Many of the relationships that start as a parent ‘volunteer’ and a ‘teacher’ quickly grow into friendships and mutual admiration.

Your support provides hope, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to the teachers and students in this school. This tea toast is dedicated to all of you – parents, family members, guardians, friends, past students and a nod to those who could not be here today. From all of us here, the staff and students, we are grateful.

We hope you enjoy the student poems and the goodies prepared by our students. Don't forget to take a flower home – it's our thank-you gift for you.
