Please remind students that ALL bags, including but not
limited to fanny packs, satchels, purses, crossbody bags, backpacks must be in
the students locker at all times. They are not to be taken class to class – the
exception is for medical requirements – (epi-pens and inhalers).  

Families and students are reminded that it is important and
expected for students to arrive to class on time, prepared, and ready to
learn.

The recent week-long Arts Commons and Jube School Field Trips were nothing short of
amazing! Our students immersed themselves in creativity, culture, and
inspiration. The memories created during these experiences will undoubtedly

School Supplies 

For the 2023-2024 school year, school supplies are provided
for Grade 4, 5, 6 students as there is a system fee that will be applied to all
Grade 4, 5, 6 students. Grade 7, 8, 9 students are responsible to bring their
own supplies to school. This includes but is not limited to:

NEW– Volunteer Applications – MyCBE Account  

As of February 9, 2024, you will be able to apply to be a volunteer via your MyCBE
Account (SchoolEngage – Forms). In addition to completing your registration
form online you also will be required to upload two pieces of government ID.
Once you receive your CPS clearance letter, you can upload a copy to your MyCBE
account.   

Casino Fundraiser  

Sherwood’s next casino fundraiser will take place on Saturday May 4 to Sunday May 5! This is our main form of fundraising at Sherwood and all the money raised goes
towards enhancing classrooms and educational programming for your children.
Please save the date and consider volunteering some of your time that weekend.

Scholastic Book Fair   

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair the week
of March 18-22.  Last year our book fair raised over $1,500 which we used
to buy new books for our learning commons and classrooms.  If you would like to
volunteer to help, make our event a success, please contact ejmcniven@cbe.ab.ca.  

Volleyball Season  

Reminder for fans - Volleyball season has begun. GO SHERWOOD GO!!!!  

Students are welcome to attend the early games hosted at Sherwood but will need to be directly supervised by THEIR Guardian to stay and watch the late games.  

Students will be asked to leave if they are not under the direct supervision of THEIR
own Guardian at home and away games.
