SIGN UP !! Sherwood’s next casino fundraiser will take place on Saturday May 4 to Sunday May 5! This is our main form of fundraising at Sherwood and all money raised goes towards enhancing classrooms and educational programming for your children. Please save the date and sign up to volunteer some of your time that weekend.
Sherwood – I Feel Good
Earth Day was a huge success, students enjoyed some extra time outside, while contributing to their community. A great way to start the day at Sherwood is by grabbing a breakfast bag from the breakfast store! You can get a whole bag for only 50¢, or maybe you just feel like a bagel for 25¢
Our grades 6 and 7 students are getting super excited as their Camp Chief Hector trip gets closer, and closer.
Sherwood School is a Scent Free School
Parents, we are a scent free school. Please ask students to refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes, as we have a number of staff and students with conditions such as asthma, which are often exacerbated by scents in the building. Please tell students to not bring aerosol sprays to school.
Round Dance Invitation
Dear Parents/Guardians, The CBE Indigenous Education Team invites all Indigenous Grade 9 students and their families to participate in a Mini-Round Dance to celebrate and honour their transition to high school. Indigenous knowledges and protocols acknowledge the child to young adulthood phase as significant. Key teachings focus on responsibility as youth move forward in all aspects of their lives (spirit, heart, body, mind) and where education is critical to their success.
Grade 9 Farewell Bottle Drive
Our Grade 9 Farewell Bottle Drive is up and running until the end of May. It is very easy! It is a quick sign up on the app and then bottles are picked up from your home – you don’t have to go anywhere!!
Are You Moving?
If you are not returning to Sherwood for the 2024/2025 school year please email Sherwood@cbe.ab.ca with the First and Last name of the student, and the reason they will NOT be returning. This does not include our grade 9 students who will be moving on to high school.
