Secret Path Week
October 17 – 22
What is Secret Path Week?
Secret Path Week is a national movement commemorating the legacies of Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack. October 17th and 22nd respectively mark the dates that Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack joined the spirit world.
We invite all people in Canada to use Secret Path Week to answer Gord Downie’s call to action, to Do Something to move reconciliation forward. Learn more! Sherwood will be walking for Wenjack on Monday October 21- Please dress for the weather, students will be walking outside!!

Halloween is Coming!
As Halloween approaches and students’ excitement and creativity builds, please keep in mind school rules around Halloween costumes:
- No weapons of any kinds (not even pretend ones)
- No full face coverage (masks, bodysuits, etc.)...face paint is totally okay!
- Be sensitive with “gore”...too much/too realistic can be a trigger for some.
- Learning needs to continue!! If students can’t sit and work comfortably in their costume…then it’s not school appropriate.
